thanks for the prompt reply, you've explained exactly what i was looking for. I only bought my book from you online recently so im suprised you have an even newer one! lol. I'll let you know how i go tomorrow.

Probably a silly question but....
If I arrive at either 0730, 1033, 1130 or 1630 what QNH / TEMPs should I use?
These times are perfectly spaced between the + 1.5 hour bands.

Hi Ian,
Personally, I would use the last known QNH. If you arrived at exactly 1330, you would still be using 1016. And since you have just arrived, ie. on the ground, whether you scaled it back to 1015 or not is your choice

Hi Ian,
At risk of annoying Ellzy I'd be more likely to go for the new QNH/Temps rather than the old ones. Arrival is usually defined as meaning arrival overhead the aerodrome. It would therefore not mean you have already landed. Bob and I had a chat about and he's going to see if there's any references for clarification but it would seem logical (to us, anyway) that you would use the newly valid QNH and not the old one that is about to expire.
If we find something to clarify this a bit further we'll let you know.
