Got this question from casa exam..

anyone with a crystal idea to explain this question..

You are planning to take off from RWY36 shortly after a large air craft has departed. In what condition would you expect the resultant wake turbulance generated from the preceding air craft to be most pro-nounced?

A) nil wind condition
B) 10 kts wind from NW
C) 5 kts wind from NW
D) 10 kts wind from SW
E) 5 kts coming from SW

MY answer was C but I got wrong on my KDR

Thanks..

I would have selected answer "C" or "E"
A 5 kt quartering wind will give a crosswind of 3 kts. This will anchor the upwind vortex over the runway.
