As CAO 48.0 is still in general use, but has been replaced in the CAO's by 48.1, which set of duty hour regulations is being referred to in the exams?
I have checked with CASA in Canberra on this one and I've been advised by the examination section that the introduction of the new CAO 48 will be a gradual transition from 30 April 2013 to 30 April 2016.
They will not be changing the exam questions until 2016 when the new CAO 48 is fully implemented. Thank God for that - I've got enough on my plate at the moment!!!
I only just got the amendment today.
Just double checking that I should still be using the old "Civil Aviation Amendment Order (No. R48) 2004" for the exam?
Not the new amendment "Civil Aviation Order 48.1 Instrument 2013"
I finished Air Law with a class two weeks ago and they all reported that an questions on tour of duty etc were based on the 'old' CAO 48. They all passed the CASA exam comfortably.
