Hi guys,
I just did a practice exam and came across a couple of questions I cant find the answers for, hoping somebody can help me out before Wednesday as that's when I'm sitting the test.
1. I know ive read this one before but cannot for the live of me find the answer now. question was:
The minimum amount of helicopter experience required before a pilot may engage in agricultural operations without supervision is -
2. This one relates to alternate or holding fuel and I can't understand how they got the answer. question was:
Refer TAF.
TAF AMD YAFT 160000Z 1600/1612 18020G30KT 8000 SCT005 FEW010 BKN100
INTER 1604/1606 5000 SH+
TEMPO 1606/1608 2000 TS
RMK

Aerodrome YAFT is within a primary control zone (CTR).
With an ETA at YAFT of 160415Z, the correct statement is -

an alternate is required
2
30 minutes holding fuel is required if an alternate is not carried
3
60 minutes holding fuel is required if an alternate is not carried
4
15 minutes holding fuel is required to allow you to hold until 160430Z
I chose answer 2 but the correct one was answer 1.
Any light anyone could shed on these would be much appreciated.

Question 1 is 220hrs if you look in the CAO's you can tally up the minimum requirements to get the ag endorsement and it will equal 220 hours.
For the TAF question you need an Alternate for the entire forecast due to low cloud. Remember that you cant have more than scattered below 1500 feet. This TAF has a SCT005 plus a FEW010 = greater than SCT below 1500.
