On Page 91 of the current edition of the book. It says flighting training under Part 141 and under Part 142 is neither private nor aerial work. But having checked with the CAR206 (1)(A)(vi) which states:

(1) For the purposes of subsection 27 (9) of the Act, the following commercial purposes are prescribed:

(a) aerial work purposes, being purposes of the following kinds (except when carried out by means of a UAV):

(i) aerial surveying;

(ii) aerial spotting;

(iii) agricultural operations;

(iv) aerial photography;

(v) advertising;

(vi) flying training, other than conversion training or training carried out under an experimental certificate issued under regulation 21.195A of CASR or under a permission to fly in force under subregulation 317 (1);

Also, I understand that Conversion Training is not aerial work and is classified as private ops, what kind of flight training is classified as aerial work as mentioned in this regulation 206?

flight training, other than the following:

(A) Part 141 flight training (within the meaning of regulation 141.015 of CASR);

( Part 142 flight training (within the meaning of regulation 142.015 of CASR);

is now considered private operations as per CAR 2 (7)(d).

Also note also that flying training under Part 141 (conducted under a certificate of authorisation to conduct flying training other than integrated flying training) and under Part 142 (conducted under a certificate of authorisation to conduct integrated flying training) is neither private nor aerial work.

It is simply described as Part 141 flying training or Part 142 flying training .

Seeing as Part 141 and 142 flying training are their own things and therefore CAO 82.0 (which lists AWK, CHTR and RPT only) doesn't apply to them, does anyone know where I can find the requirements of EFB operation that apply to part 141 and 142 operators?
