1. When do you as pilot in command brief passengers about ELTs ? when the flight will be with in a remote area ?
2. You are at a holding point in a uncontrolled aerodrome. This is a Air Transport Operation.
One aircraft is on final to land. When can you enter the runway?
When aircraft vacated the runway? Or When aircraft vacated the runway and taxing away from runway?
3. Air Transport Operation. You are about to land in a busy aerodrome. How much holding fuel do I need if the weather is CAVOK?
no holding fuel ? 30 min ? 40min ?

Hi Pat83,

If you have references to the questions from the books or online exams, I may be able to provide more assistance. Hopefully this helps for now:

1. You need to brief passengers on the safety equipment in the aircraft prior to flight. CASA Includes it as Part of the “S.A.F.E.T.Y” Briefing www.casa.gov.au/sites/default/files/2021...ssenger-briefing.pdf

2. You must give way to the aircraft landing, regardless of operation type. Once you are satisfied that no collision risk exists, you may enter the runway.

3. The fuel requirements will depend on the type of aircraft you are flying. “Table 2: Final reserve fuel and contingency fuel requirements” can be found in AC91-15 V1.2. I’ve attached the link below. IF a specific aerodrome is mentioned, there may be additional holding requirements specified in ERSA. www.casa.gov.au/guidelines-aircraft-fuel-requirements
