Hi guys, quick question re pre-requisites for CPL exams.
I just passed my PPLA theory exam today, and will shortly be kicking off my PPL training, with a view to be doing the flight test in around six months (part time). I enjoy the study side of things, so was thinking of kicking on and starting the CPL study and the exams, getting them all out the way.
Is there any prerequisite that I must have my PPL licence before starting the CPL exams, or can I just keep on doing them (within the two year window) so that once they are out the way, there is no more theory to do? And do they ever expire? I know you must finish them all within two years, but then do they stay current until I get around to the flying training and exam?

No. There is nothing to stop you going on to begin your CPL theory. Providing you pass all subjects in the 2 year window of opportunity, they remain valid indefinitely. Good luck with it.
