Hi all.
The time has come to start Commercial theory and I have decided to home study I purchased two of your textbooks a few years ago when I completed my PPL. (Navigation Issue 2) and (Meteorology Issue 1). I notice they both have new issue's. Could you tell me if they would be still valid for the current CASA exams and if there were major changes in the next issue's? I intend to purchase all the other textbooks and practice exams. Do you have a CPL package that includes all the above and exam booklet?
Thanks for your post. Bob would be the best one to answer the questions regarding the updates since they can indeed range from simple formatting corrections and extra diagrams right through to major content changes such as the new TEM section in HPL or the air law changes from 3rd June.
Met has been through several versions since you bought it so I'd seriously consider at least updating that one. But again, Bob will be the best one to comment on that and on the changes between Nav v2 and Nav v3.
Lee will be in the office tomorrow and she trolls the forums so she'll get back to you very soon. As far as I am aware there are no "package" offers but I'll drop her an email anyway to make sure she gets to see your post ASAP.

Richard did email me to make sure I checked your post ( I don't think he trusts me!!) and I have checked with Bob and Richard is right, you will need to update the Meteorology Book but the Navigation is fine. We don't have a CPL Package as a lot of students prefer to purchase one Book at a time, sit the CASA Exam and then move onto the next subject, so to make it fair for everybody the price is the same whether you purchase one or all of the books.
I hope we will get to chat more on these Forums Craig - they really are a great form of communication.
Thanks Lee for the info. I will go to the store now to purchase a couple of the books. Your right the forum is a great way to communicate, I hope more of your students see it's advantage.
