Hey guys,

Will there be questions like this in the CFPA exam where you have to run multiple combinations of performance conditions?

Thanks

What is likely to be in the exam is up to the examiner. The only constraint on the style of question should be that it relates in a reasonable manner to the MOS syllabus.

The question posed is straightforward and, in essence, constitutes two runs through the carpets to get answers for two runway directions. Consider the case where the question might pose a similar problem with two separate runways (ie four directions to consider) ? Again, it is just a straightforward exercise in running the same solution process multiple times. So long as questions provide a sensible match of time required to solve against marks offered, they are reasonable.

I should plan on at least the possibility of such a question while acknowledging that the examiner also is trying to test a broad range of syllabus matters. For him to push this style of question approach to extreme would be counterproductive for the exam's basic purpose.
