Hi all , passed the RPL last year but now preparing to sit the PPL theory
I wanted to do this and then concentrate on flying

1. After the PPL theory exam is passed what is the time limit before I pass the flight test. I was under the impression there was no time limit

2. I have purchased the Bob Tait books and some RPL practice exams from the Bob Tait website. Are there any practice questions that can be additionally purchased in relation to these books . Im looking especially towards questions on navigation practice especially there are maps in the workbook at PPL level

3. Does anyone have any advice in relation to the structure of the PPL exam?

1. A pass in the CASA PPL theory exam (PPLA) is valid indefinitely.

2. A quick google search will reveal a number of other providers of Aviation Theory materials in Australia.

It is just that CASA provides maps as do you in the books but I didnt see any specific questions that relate to the maps
thats all

Any maps required for the CASA exams are listed in the 'materials to be provided by the candidate' on the CASA web page. In other words, you bring your own map. I included the a reproduction of the map in the Nav book for convenience, however students often prefer to buy their own WAC because that's what they will have to use in the exam.

You will need the Sydney, Townsville and Bourke WACs.

We don't publish all of the CASA WACs. That would not be possible in a text book. We do have exercises based on the actual WAC that are similar to CASAs. These exercises are found on page 299 in Volume 2 of the RPL/PPL study guide. They are based on the Armidale WAC. If you don't have the Armidale WAC, you can go to 'errata' on our home page and click on 'CPL Nav'. You will find a link to the Armidale WAC. You can download the WAC and print it.
