I have recently started studying RPL/PPL, and I feel like I’ve got a solid grasp on the material. I have been acing practice exams so my question is, I didn’t buy the BAK book just the RPL/PPL how much am I missing not having the BAK book? Any and all thoughts or advice will be appreciated.
The BAK book is now called RPL/PPL Study Guide Volume 1. It contains the aeronautical knowledge requirement for the RPL examination. The areas that are covered in full in Volume 1 but not in Volume 2 are Human Performance, Air Law, as it applies to the RPL, and the basics of Engines ans Systems. Some of the this material is included in a section at the back of Volume 2 called "General Knowledge Top Up".
If you work through CASA SAMPLE PPL EXAM QUESTIONS on page 397 of Volume 2 you will get an idea of the content to expect in the PPL exam. The main area that is not covered in Volume 2 but is found in Volume 1 is Human Performance.
