You have a question in the IREX practice exams that refers to a 21 ILS into Perth in VH-OZY.
It asks for the decision altitude and visibility required.
In your answer you have part of the DAPS which gives you height and vis required but the chart also partly obscures the written part of the answer.
Can the chart extraction be moved?

Hi! just a few questions that may need to be updated: The IREX Exam 1 Question 15 asks about routing options for a flight from Sydney to Coffs Harbour, but the options to choose from use NAVAIDS airways and waypoints that don't exist (anymore), and the route has been updated.
Also, Question 28 lists 4 answers as A - D in addition to the answers that can be selected.
Thanks!

Thanks! Also, just check for IFR Exam prep #2 Question 20, the "RANGU EIGHT Standard Instrument Departure " is no longer in the DAPS, and the link to the SID does not work (404 error).

I had another question about VOLMET that was on the IREX practice exam and the actual exam. I got the question wrong on the practice exam, so I changed my thinking on it, but I then got it wrong on the CASA exam. I'm not sure if it is appropriate to post it here or not. - but on the practice exam, Q24, it was asking how you would obtain the next VOLMET. the ERSA showed one option on HF, however the ERC showed a VHF option. the practice exam leaned only toward the HF option, so I figured ok must be only what's in ERSA, ignoring the VHF VOLMET on the chart. However I still seem to have gotten it wrong on the CASA exam with that mindset. Is there any clarification on this matter? Thanks!

Until recently, VOLMET was a single HF frequency from a transmitter based at Alice Springs, transmitting a message on the hour and half-hour, while AERIS was a network of VHF stations around the country, transmitting continuously.
However, the latest AIP states, in the list of "significant changes" at the front, that AERIS has been removed "in line with the requirements of ICAO Annex 3" and subsumed into VOLMET.
Apparently, AERIS was an Australian thing and we are now trying to conform to ICAO more closely.
The table in AIP GEN 3.5 para 7 now contains both the old VOLMET station (HF) and the former AERIS stations (VHF) under the heading of VOLMET.
Some of the practice test questions ask for VOLMET information, and these require updating, since the "correct" answer given is always the HF station information, even if the question indicates that you're very close to one of the former AERIS stations.

I will amend the question set to reflect the changes in frequency.
