Hollywoodpops created the topic: QUESTIONS ON CHUF EXAM
HELLO BOB
TODAY I FAIL IN THE CHUF EXAM WITH 61% I HATE THIS ,
SOME QUESTIONS WERE REALLY HARD TO ANSWER.
FOR EXAMPLE
A PILOT HAVE 2 HRS FUEL AND GET LOST., WHAT TIPE OF CONTERMEASURES HE MUST APPLY?
LOOK FOR SIGNS AND REFERENCES ON THE GROUND
DECLARE EMERGENCY
ASSISTANCE OF ATC
ASK HIMSELF WHY HE GOT LOST
ANOTHER QUESTION
IF A PILOT IF ON THE BEACH NO WEARING SUNGLASSES AND HAVE A FLIGHT DURING NIGHT
WHAT WILL HAPPEND WITH HIS NIGHT VISION?
NOTHING BECAUSE IT TAKES 30 TO 40 MIN TO BE READY?
AND I DONT REMEMBER THE OTHER OPTIONS
THE CHECKLIST IT MUST BE USE
DURING TAKE OFF, LANDING AND
WHENEVER YOU NEED IT
ONLY IN EMERGENCY
A PILOT IS IN AN EMERGENCY AND REED BACK 80KT IN PLACE OF 70KT
WHAT TYPE OF HERROR IT IS
COMUNICATIONAL
HANDLING
OPERATIONAL
PROCEDURAL
A PILOT WHO IS RUNNING LATE FORGOT TO ACTIVATE ANTI-ICING SISTEM
WHAT TYPE OF THREAT IS
INTERNAL
EXTERNAL
EXPECTED
UNEXPECTED
ACTIVE LISTENING
A PILOT WHO LISTEN TO A CREW MEMBER I WILL ME MOST LIKELY TO
UNDER WHAT TEMPERATURE THE PILOTO MUST HAVE PRECATION
-5
+5 +10
0 +5
WHEN YOU SUFFERING FROM HEADACHE AND WARM YOU SHOULD EXPECT
HYPOXYA
HYPERVENTILATION
CARBON MONOX
FOOD POISONING
A PILOT WHO HAS TO FLIGHT TO AN ALA THAT IS UNFAMILIAR APPLY POOR FLAPS AND THE LANDING IS WRONG
UNFAMILIAR WITH THE ALA
OVERLOADING THE UNDERCARRIAGE
APPLY MORE FLAPS
FALSE HYPOTESIS IS NOT LIKELY TO OCCUR WHEN??
I HOPE SOMEONE CAN ANSWER THIS QUESTIONS BECAUSE I DONT KNOW WHAT TO THINK
AND ABOUT PILOTS AN VITAMINS
THE MUST ASK A DAME
THEY DONT NEED TO ASK A DAME IF IS SOMETHING YOU CAN GET WITHOUT PRESCRIPTION
A GOOD DIET HAVE ALL VITAMINS YOU DONT NEED TO USE THEM
Some of the questions cannot be answered as we do not have enough information on the wording but here are some thoughts on the ones we can have a crack at:
>A PILOT HAVE 2 HRS FUEL AND GET LOST., WHAT TIPE OF CONTERMEASURES HE MUST APPLY?
The pilot is in a UAS but still has 2 hours fuel so it is not an emergency. He must handle the UAS by trying to reestablish a position. I would opt for looking for references on the ground.
>IF A PILOT IF ON THE BEACH NO WEARING SUNGLASSES AND HAVE A FLIGHT DURING NIGHT WHAT WILL HAPPEND WITH HIS NIGHT VISION?
Exposure to prolonged periods of bright glare can seriously impair night vision for days afterwards. In fact strong glare conditions can even lead to temporary loss of normal daytime vision (e.g. snow blindness).
>A PILOT WHO IS RUNNING LATE FORGOT TO ACTIVATE ANTI-ICING SISTEM WHAT TYPE OF THREAT IS
Rushing due to timetable pressures is typically the result of an organisational (often latent) threat. Since none of the other options you gave seem to make sense, I would opt for internal threat based on the state of mind of the pilot.
> WHEN YOU SUFFERING FROM HEADACHE AND WARM YOU SHOULD EXPECT
Headache is one of the giveaway signs of CO poisoning.
>VITAMINS
Only option (of the ones you mentioned) which makes sense is the fact that a good diet contains all the vitamins you need so supplements should be unnecessary.
If anyone else wants to chime in with some feedback on the questions, please do. Perhaps other students actually had these ones in their exams and can add more insight.
