Dear Forum,

Is ICUS considered to be an easier option ( as in minimum recency ) than PIC ?

Just looking at revision 2.3 q 1 options b and c.

Even though ICUS is 1 hour, as is PIC, ICUS is preferred as answer. Guess that this suggests that ICUS is seen as an easier option / more minimum(?) than PIC

Thanks for any help.

The PIC recency is actually 3 hours, one of which must be in the air or in an airline-type simulator (level 3or higher). The other two hours can be in a synthetic trainer (more likely in the average flying school). The 1hour ICUS or dual must be in flight or in an airline-type simulator (level 3 or higher).

The reference to only 1hour PIC is an additional requirement to allow pilots who have met the above recency in a two-pilot aeroplane to fly IFR in a single pilot aeroplane.
