Hello Bob and co.

I'm going through questions and I've come across one that's stumped me.

It's Q3 in Ex 16 of the book, you are tracking from Tamworth to Armidale with your ADF tuned to Inverell. You've maintained direct track by allowing for 8 degree of left drift. Now this is where I'm confused!

The ERC says that the track from TMW to ARM is 040 degrees, now if you were allowing for 8 degrees of left drift, wouldn't your heading be 048 degrees? Because the answer in the book shows 045, and I'm confused as to where that number comes from?

Is anyone able to help? Otherwise I won't sleep tonight haha
Cheers,
Aaron

I hope you didn't lose too much sleep over that one! There had been a change to the ERC chart (yet another one!) and somehow that question slipped through. The answer should have been 268°R. The new answer diagram is attached.
