IREX Book, Intercepts with the VOR
Exercise 14, questions 19 - 30

I'm confused by some of these questions, but I'm sure they have been written like this for a reason.
e.g. Q20: "The pilot of the aircraft at left wishes to carry out a 45° intercept of the 120°M outbound track to the VOR."

Can someone please explain why we don't say "outbound track from the VOR"?

I can't find that wording in any example in the current book. It could be that your copy is out of date and any such wording has been fixed. Clearly if that was the wording it should have read 'outbound track from'.
