Question No 10
You are tracking into the Kununurra (1544615S 1284227E) RWY 12 NDB approach on a heading of 340°M.
You decide to divert from the present track at 25 nm out and fly directly into the outbound leg of the approach
procedure. The inbound track which would require the least diversion from your present track to permit the ap
proach to commence without the need for a sector entry is-
[a] 028°M 138°M
[c] 358°M [d] 340°M
Your heading is 340 and the outbound track of the instrument approach
procedure is 028°M. If you can get within 30° of that you can overfly
the aid and go straight into the outbound leg. The nearest track that
will let you do that is 358°M. Note you must not descend below your
route LSALT and stay on your flight planned track until you are within
the 25nm MSA disk.
The answer is C but you have D listed but write the explanation for C in the answer and that correlates to the AIP.
