The Airservices have recently (Mar 2025) issued Aeronautical Information Circular (AIC) H1/25 with regards to Circling Area Guidance.

This has also been reflected in the latest AIP (Jun 2025), and your answer will be in AIP ENR 1.5-4, table 1.1 in paragraph 1.6.5.
Bear in mind, the changes at Airservices and CASA are issued almost on a daily basis and it is impossible to reprint the book every time the rules are introduced/updated/removed.
Before your IREX exam, I suggest to read AIP from cover to cover and know where to find the answers for questions.
If you don't know the answer, the success of the exam will depend on how fast you find the answer in the AIP.
Likely the answer will be within several paragraphs above or below the reference. So use the references provided in a book only as a guidance.
@Stuart/Bob, the answer to Q6 on page 332 needs to be updated to reflect Proserpine/Whitsunday elevation 82ft and Cat B. So the answer is 2.59nm.
Q8:
Both question and answer are very relevant when flying and using VOR.
Think laterally, how would you know your position if the GPS is out (which happens a lot these days around the world) ?
Yes, simple 1 in 60 rule.
