Hi all, I'm doing Met at home with a self study pack and have a exam this Friday, is anyone able to me if you are able to tag pages in the AIP text book and if so how many.
G'day!
You are allowed 10 tags in the AIP but unlimited highlighting (see www.casa.gov.au/standard-page/permitted-...RD%3A%3Apc=PC_102044) . I would recommend you move the INDEX section of the AIP to the front of the book to make look-ups more convenient and also highlight those entries in the section contents pages which have come up regularly in your studies. That should streamline the process for you and almost make the tabs unnecessary.
Cheers,
Rich
INDEXING
IMO essential but not too many
Suggestions if you think about how you plan and execute an IFR flight, pick out all the common terms and index them in all the sections where the common terms are in the AIP.
examples
Tabs to descent below MDA LSALT
What can you se as an ALTN AD
requirements under ENR and MET tie them in to each other
And its all in the AIP, its your bible and it contains your escape route..
