Dear All,
Just wondering if there was a way, using the CR3, of finding CAS from TAS. Have worked one problem in a reverse sense (ie from possible answer CAS given in quiz to TAS given. Haven't seen this type of problem in the CPL Nav book by BOb..perhaps missed it. Thank you!
Say it's zero degrees at 10,000 ft. Set zero against 10,000 in the airspeed correction window and read the CAS [inside scale] against the TAS on the outside scale. e.g. TAS of 180 kt is equivalent to a CAS of 154 kt. See figure below.
