Hi,
In worked solution for Exercise 5.4 Question 2 (pg 194)
The take-off Fuel is shown as 210kg; but my calculation is (55 gal x 1.1) + 15 = 75.5 gal (205kg) minimum fuel
The 210kg is then used in the flow chart to calculate the max cargo, where as I think it should be 205kg as min fuel

In worked solution for Exercise 5.4 Question 3 (pg 194)
I agree the take-off fuel is 281kg in the beetle diagram. However the in flow chart, 292kg has been used (i believe it should be 281kg?)

Cheers
SJM

Did you end up working out why there is extra fuel in the solution?

Was there ever a resolution to this? I've just spent 15 minutes trying to figure out where the extra fuel has come from - its the same in the worked example preceding exercise 5.4 (Fuel @ T/O is calc'd at 206kg, but then 213kg is used in the example)

I'll have a look tomorrow I dare say it might be a half finished update from the new fuel requirements we had a few
