Exam 4 online practicecyber exam:
Given that: p = 4 nm, D = 60 nm, Track = 270 degrees M.
A constant TAS and HDG of 265 degrees M have been maintained between 0200, at A and 0240 at B.
The drift experienced during this period was -
1 9 degrees right
2 12 degrees right
3 5 degrees right
4 4 degrees right
Can you please explain to me how the answer is (1)
The flight planned track [FPT] is 270°M.
You are flying from right to left and you are 4nm off after 60nm.
You have a track error of 4° to the right, so the track you actually flew [Track Made Good, TMG] was 274°M.
If you flew down a track of 274°M with a heading of 265°M you have experienced 9° of right drift.
