Hi I have a question regarding Take Off charts (Type 1).
I have been doing some exam preparation and have come across questions regarding an upslope of 1% for example. However the chart only allows for level or 2% upslope so I assume you need to extrapolate between the two for 1% however everyone I do this the answer is wrong and I can’t woek out why.

Not quite sure what Take Off charts (Type 1) are. Perhaps you can post a scan of the particular chart which is causing you trouble ?
However the chart only allows for level or 2% upslope
That doesn't sound quite right. A scan of the chart will allow us to resolve your question.
I assume you need to extrapolate between the two for 1%
Minor terminology point.
Extrapolating would occur if you had data for level and 2% and needed to figure data for 3%. I suggest you never do this .. more than a few traps unless you are very careful
Interpolating is the term you are after.
