Hello,
On page 20/21 of RPL/PPL vol 2, there is a worked explanation of the Linear Take-off chart.

The 'conditions' spell out there is a 10kt headwind.

Yet, at step 5 and on the chart page 21, ... the example uses 5kts.

There is errata for the graph (18.03.2020) but my book seems identical to the correction.

Am I missing something or why do you use 5kts and not 10kts.

Ah, there may be a subtle problem with the question, here. As I don't have a copy of the documents, might I be able to request that you post a scan of the relevant bits so I can see what it was with which you were faced.

Not your problem Tim. The question text says a 10kt wind but the working shows a 5 kt wind. That's our error. I've made the necessary correction. Thanks for your feed-back. Hard to believe that something like that sat there for so long and you are the first to notice it! Congratulations....
