I am reading the ERSA entry for the nearby aerodrome but can't seem to find any reference to the designated D area surrounding it.

Hi Hazza,

Hopefully i have your question correct.
As you probably know, the D (Danger) Areas on the VTC give a number and then a specified height that it relates to. An example would be D316 SFC - 5000. (May not be exact but gives an idea). Then in the ERSA you can find a list of Restricted and Danger Areas under PRD-1, find the corresponding reference and it will give you a little more info.

From the ERSA PRD - 10

(D316 SFC - 5000 H24 (99) Regulatory Services and Surveillance (Southern Region) FLYING TRAINING)

Hope this answers the question.

Cheers,
Phil.
