Managed to crack into the industry today with the CFI giving me a gig at the aero club
Will be working weekends to start doing a lot (hopefully) of TIFs and joyflights (including in the Tiger when I get enough tailwheel hrs) which will, fingers crossed, turn into my first real students.
Thanks to Bob, Richard and the team for your help over the last year or so!
Ah yes the good old Tiger. I learnt to fly in a Tiger Moth over 50 years ago!! Still remember my first solo as though it was yesterday. Funny thing about going solo in a tiger is that your instructor never was sitting next to you, so it seems like just another flight. As they used to say: "It takes little time to learn to fly it badly - and the rest of your life to learn to fly it well." Does your's have a tailwheel and brakes or is it the original tail skid without brakes? How about a pic??
What a beautiful plane Ellzy - I still remember my first time up in a 'moth minor' single wing. It was at the Adelaide Soaring (gliding) club at Gawler in SA. That was where I got the bug - I was 16 years old at the time (and dinosours walked the earth)
I am glad that you now have some 'work' and can start to share your skills; and earn a shilling or two.
If we get to perth this coming year we'll catch up.
